Antiques and appetizers at Mayor's charity event

Fine china and fine food are on the agenda at the Mayor's charity antiques event in October.

At the charity event, which takes place on Saturday 17 October at Potters Bar Golf Club, guests will be able to get their antiques and heirlooms valued by a panel of experts headed by TV antique expert, David Ford.

Tickets cost £40 and include a three course buffet and raffle. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.

The Mayor Cllr Martin Worster, said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for antique collectors and enthusiasts to get together and share in their passion with others.

"The event will hopefully attract people who may have an antique or valuable item at home to come and get it valued by one of the experts."

The Mayor along with the Mayoress, Mrs Pam Worster, will be hosting the charity antique event. The dress code is lounge suit. Places are limited and each table seats up to 10 people.
