Fine china and fine food are on the agenda at the Mayor's charity antiques event in October.

At the charity event, which takes place on Saturday 17 October at Potters Bar Golf Club, guests will be able to get their antiques and heirlooms valued by a panel of experts headed by TV antique expert, David Ford.

Oakman Inns CEO Peter Borg-Neal has thrown down the gauntlet – or rather a sports bra - to Costa Coffee, who this week banned a woman for wearing her gym kit when taking a break from training to meet her friends. An invitation to attend a planning update is being extended to residents' associations and community groups across the borough.

The session, which will take place at Civic Offices on Monday, 21 September starting at 6pm, will be hosted by senior managers from our Planning department. They will provide an update on key planning policy changes, both locally and nationally, and also provide an overview of the planning application process.
