With a 40% rise in cybercrime reported last year*, new research from financial and business advisers Grant Thornton worryingly reveals that over a third of local businesses still don't have a strategy in place to mitigate the risk of a digital attack.

Grant Thornton's survey of businesses across East Anglia found that 73% perceived cybercrime to be a realistic threat to their organisation while 38% had already been targeted by an attack.

The Connected Counties programme celebrated an important milestone when the 100th fibre broadband cabinet went 'live' in Hertfordshire recently.

This cabinet supplies superfast fibre broadband speeds to homes and businesses in the village of Offley, whilst the £18.06 million Connected Counties roll-out is on track to achieve more than 90 per cent fibre coverage in Herts by April.
